About Nicola Brown
Nicola Brown soundsmagical
When I work from an inspired place I use the Mayan name Ixchel that was given to me in Guatemala. I like to think that this is the name of my higher self. I live in the South of Spain and also in Brazil, and in all the many other countries that I visit. I have always played music and loved colours, beauty, nature and travelling the world. I have studied many different therapy and healing techniques and now combine my love of sound, colours, crystals and healing by working with the magical sounds of quartz crystal bowls. I also paint and write and try to bring these subtle vibrations on to paper as well as into musical CDs, so that I can share these inspirational energies as widely as possible.

I began my early life as a pianist and still play the piano today, but I soon began to realise that my interest lay in the effects of music. This led me on a long journey of discovery through India and Nepal, Bali and the Far East, studying music from different perspectives. It led me to meet and work with Shamans in Siberia, Aborigines in Australia, Bushmen in the Kalahari desert, and Sufi masters, all of whom were using sound, rhythm and music as healing modalities. It took me to USA to work with early sound healing pioneers in the 1980’s, until I finally discovered that the instruments I wanted to work with were the beautiful quartz singing bowls.

During this time I was teaching music both to adults and children and trying to lead them into the magical world of music and sound. In order to learn how to ground these frequencies into the body, I also studied and practiced massage, aromatherapy, reiki, stress management, naturopathy and many other techniques.

The intention for my work is to inspire and uplift through the use of high frequency vibrations. At the same time as grounding and anchoring these more subtle vibrations into physical reality, so that heaven may be truly brought to earth.
